The Marketing Director will coordinate the entire marketing organization in Romania, covering all core marketing functions: '
- Brand management
- Digital and Media
- Graphic and Creative Execution etc
- Bio on DM (operational manager):
- The role reports directly to the CEO of Romania.
- The relationship is hands-on, business-oriented, and expects autonomy, structured thinking, and clear accountability from the Marketing Director.
- Scope of the role:
- This is a country-level Marketing Director role with full ownership of marketing strategy, execution governance, and commercial impact across the Romanian portfolio.
- The Marketing Director will:
- Define and own the brand and portfolio strategy across water, beverages, and food categories
- Lead annual marketing and commercial growth planning
- Translate strategy into clear KPIs, budgets, and execution plans
- Manage marketing budgets with full ROI accountability
- Lead and develop multi-layered teams with mixed seniority levels
- Act as the senior marketing interface towards group stakeholders
This is a strategic and managerial role with strong financial and analytical expectations. Creative execution is delegated and supervised, not owned hands-on; but you display high creativity and the ability to generate innovative, out-of-the-box ideas
- The few most important must haves of the best matching Candidate in this role are:
- Solid FMCG background in food and or beverages is mandatory
- Minimum 10 years of marketing experience with brand and portfolio responsibility
- Proven leadership of teams of at least 5 people, including senior profiles
- Demonstrated experience in managing marketing budgets, KPIs, and ROI
- Hands-on exposure to market research tools and data
- Experience leading New Product Development initiatives end-to-end
- Strategic mindset combined with operational discipline
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders
What you will do
- Define and implement brand strategies and product portfolio development plans, focused on dynamic market share growth and sales effectiveness
- Build coherent brand communication and develop brand image in line with strategic objectives and market trends
- Lead the annual marketing and commercial growth plan across brands and channels
- Drive campaigns and initiatives that increase sales, conversion, and customer retention
- Develop and oversee CRM and loyalty programs with clear segmentation and measurable outcomes
- Optimize digital channels (website, apps, e-commerce, digital campaigns) to improve performance and conversion
- Define and monitor consumer experience strategy (NPS, CSAT, feedback, insights)
- Work closely with Sales and Trade Marketing teams, with a strong focus on customer marketing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Production & Logistics, Controlling, Legal, Finance, and other support teams
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure full accountability for ROI
- Lead internal marketing teams and external agencies, setting clear goals and performance standards
- Drive New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to launch, end-to-end
What we are looking for
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing in managing brands or product categories in FMCG.
- At least 3 years of experience leading teams of 5+ people
- Proven track record of growing revenue while protecting margins
- Strong hands-on experience in brand management, CRM, loyalty, performance marketing, and digital
- Solid understanding of media planning, cooperation with media agencies, channel optimization, and cost efficiency analysis
- Experience in initiating and leading market research: hypothesis building, methodology selection, insight interpretation, and recommendations
- Demonstrated expertise in brand positioning and product strategy: brand architecture, value proposition development, audience segmentation
- Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) from concept through full market launch
- Strong financial acumen, including fluency in P&L management, margin analysis, and profitability modeling
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making
