DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB Main purpose of the job: Conversion of existing mechanical designs and all necessary documents into the new 3DExperience platform and later design additional variants and product lines of escalators from concept until factory implementation.

Main purpose of the job regarding global function: N/A Position in structure: Reports to the Manager ESC R&D Digital Transformation.

Main duties / responsibilities:

Design of escalator components and modules in Dassault Systems 3DExperience. For conversion support review of existing mechanical designs from Autodesk System, SAP and Schindler Escalator Parameter Engine. •

Enhance the simple 3D legacy model with logic, function and automation to generative design for order-specific geometric digital twins.

 Expand the model through component families and Engineering Knowledge Language (EKL) to automatize the generative design generation.

• Use Lifecycle and Change Management (Change Order and Change Actions) for traceability and to manage global design agreements.

• Use 3DExperience out of the box functions in context of Schindler Design Methods (e.g. Sheetmetal design, family tables/components, part design Functional Tolerancing and Annotation, drawings, escalator structure,…). • External software provider (Dassault Systemes) QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB Education: ▪ Higher technical education such a university

▪ Some education in software programming language Professional experience: ▪ Excellent understanding of Dassault 3DExperience Platform with advanced knowledge of CATIA (min. V5)

▪ Part design, assembly design, sheet metal, skeleton, functional tolerancing and annotation, drawing design, variant design, parameter usage.

▪ At least 3 years of experience using these tools and min. 5 to 8 years work experience in the field of mechanical design Professional skills:

▪ Technical engineering understanding

▪ Ability to work with people from different cultures

▪ Interested to work in an international environment (trips to Austria and Slovakia and China)

▪ Ability to design with engineering software ▪

Ability to understand quickly technical and commercial issues

▪ Ability to communicate openly and clearly
