Role details:
- Title: Practice Leader (Sr. Director or AVP)
- Reporting to: Global Head of Digital BU (SVP)
- Location: Pune / Noida / Bangalore, India
Role & responsibilities:
The role-holder will be accountable for driving the next level of growth, strategic positioning, and P&L management of the MS Technology practice, which has grown to be a strategic business unit in the company.
More specifically, they will:
- Formulate differentiated partnership, co-selling, GTM, business development and account management / account growth strategies for the practice, driven by differentiated solutions & services offerings
- Drive strategic account growth and be responsible for the delivery of consulting services to prospects and clients
- Keep expanding the business within existing accounts and help clients, by building and sustaining strategic executive relationships, doubling up as their trusted business technology advisor
- Position differentiated and custom solutions to clients, based on their expertise on the market trends, specific needs of the clients and the supporting business cases
- Provide proactive support to clients and prospects to ensure their successful adoption of Microsoft Azure and partner technology
- Keep building new technology capabilities, and building team competencies by leveraging Microsoft Partnership
- Steer the marketing of technology & domain solutions / service offerings to internal/external stakeholders
- Manage business relationships with the technology partners & start-up eco systems and demonstrate edge over competition
- Develop a compelling Microsoft Azure services strategy and develop propositions that leverage industry experience
- Manage multiple opportunities through the entire business cycle simultaneously, working with cross-functional teams as necessary
Candidate requirements:
- MS experience and expertise: 18-20 years of all-round experience in Microsoft technologies (.NET full stack, Azure cloud, Database technologies supported on MS / Azure, MS Data (structured & unstructured) & AI solutions, Azure IOT, MS 365, D365, Cloud-native development (including microservices based enterprise application development, serverless computing, DevSecOps – CI/CD tool chain, API Management platforms, containerization, etc.)
- Azure Platform Practice team management credentials: Including headcount (400+ FTEs), revenues (c.$ 50 million in ARR) and utilisation targets
- MS partnership credentials
- Solutions and delivery experience: Including in Azure-native and migration to Azure
- Solutions articulation credentials
- Differentiated Digital solutions expertise
- MS implementations experience and expertise
- Customer advocacy / championship, leading to ever-increasing customer retention and repeat business, driven by customer delight
- High calibre presentation and communication skills
- Practice and enterprise level leadership skills and competencies covering people management, conflict resolution, accountability, judgement and decision making
