In this role, you’ll manage new and renewal business while applying your underwriting skills to ensure sound risk assessment, accurate pricing, and well-structured terms and conditions. You’ll be working in a corporate niche UMA environment that promotes autonomy, strategic decision-making, and encourages innovative, forward-thinking.

You’ll collaborate closely with brokers and clients, building trusted relationships through regular engagement, clear communication, and exceptional service. From handling surveys and policy wordings to managing international programmes and premium processing, you’ll have the autonomy to make a real impact while being part of a supportive, growth-driven team.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Brings at least 5 years’ corporate or high-end commercial property underwriting experience
• Strong technical UW expertise that includes facultative reinsurance knowledge and policy wording expertise
• Is confident engaging with brokers and developing business opportunities
• Holds full FAIS accreditation and RE5 (a post-qualification is advantageous)
• Has strong attention to detail, independence, and the ability to work strategically

What you’ll do day-to-day:
Underwrite within delegated authority, prepare quotations, review survey reports, manage accounts, resolve broker queries, and support colleagues when needed — all while growing your technical expertise across rating tools, methodologies, and risk assessment.
