Current structure of the department:
- Director
- Sole Accountant (new position) with external accounting company support, for now
- This is a newly created position, designed to bring accounting in-house and provide direct financial oversight to the Director - now the accounting service is outsourced.
- Full on-site role is a need, small team with great projects
The few most important must haves of the best matching Candidate in this role are:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting (2 years of experience within an international company ideally)
- Able to manage the full accounting cycle and ensure compliance with local legislation and IFRS
- ERP Knowledge: Microsoft Dynamics 365 an advantage
- English language B2/C1 must
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounting and tax reporting in compliance with Romanian legislation and IFRS.
- Process and reconcile primary documents (incoming/outgoing invoices, payments, receivables).
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle payroll processing, payroll taxes, and social contributions; prepare payroll reports and ensure compliance.
- Maintain employee records and employment documentation from an administrative perspective.
- Manage export-import accounting and documentation.
- Ensure complete and accurate document flow (incoming, outgoing, transfers, returns, write-offs, inventory).
- Provide timely reporting to management (monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports).
- Support audits and internal reviews by ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
Background & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting.
- At least 2 years of experience within an international company.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, taxation, financial, and business legislation.
- Familiarity with IFRS principles and export-import operations.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft 365 is an advantage.
Languages
- Romanian – fluent.
- English – good verbal and written communication skills.

Salary & Bonuses:
- Open range depending on experience and market benchmarks
- Quarterly bonus up to 30% of annual fixed salary (1 extra salary per quarter) based on performance
