We’re currently looking for a Security-Focused System Engineer to join the growing team of our client - a product company, providing smart energy technology solutions with a diverse portfolio of solar, battery and energy ecosystems products.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in safeguarding and managing the infrastructure behind our client’s hybrid cloud platform. If you're passionate about secure systems design, automation, and high-availability environments, this is your chance to help shape and harden the foundation of our client’s global services.
Your main responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and protection of Linux and Windows servers in a mission-critical production environment
- Administer virtualization platforms (vSphere/ESXi) and handle traffic routing through NGINX-based load balancing
- Build and maintain identity and access controls using Active Directory, SSO integrations, and PKI/SSL solutions
- Automate infrastructure tasks and workflows with tools like Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, and Jenkins
- Manage a hybrid infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across on-premise data centers and AWS environments
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure-level incidents and performance bottlenecks
- Foster cross-team knowledge-sharing around system hardening, scalability, and operational excellence
- Continuously assess and enhance our security controls, monitoring, and system resilience
Desired experience, skills and qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience managing Linux-based infrastructure
- Deep familiarity with VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi)
- Strong understanding of network-level security, including NGINX, WAFs, and protection against DDoS threats
- Hands-on experience with directory services, SSO, and digital certificate management
- Proven skill with automation and infrastructure-as-code using Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Advantages:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Exposure to AWS infrastructure services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, and ALB
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms, especially NetApp
