Hiring for an MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) at Lithuania for a global FinTech SaaS B2B Payments Infrastructure platform that supports real-time cross border payments transaction processing, clearing and settlement services for mobile wallets and bank accounts payment systems.

Our client is a Europe-headquartered start-up SaaS FinTech company that provides a global scale Forex remittances platform (both Send side and Receive side) that enables instant foreign exchange remittances and payments through API-driven integration. Founded in 2014, they have scaled rapidly – especially over the past 3 years – and now host all major Merchants, Business Enterprises Banks, Forex Solutions Providers, Wallets and other players in the ecosystem. Their leadership team is distributed across multiple continents and have business operations across the globe. Their employee headcount has grown eight-fold over the past 3 years and that includes regulatory compliance personnel in multiple countries.
Role details:
- Title / Designation: Money Laundering Reporting Officer
- Role position: Manager
- Reporting Manager: Country Manager / Group Compliance Manager
- Location: Vilnius, Lithuania / Remote in Lithuania
Role & responsibilities:
- As MLRO, own all matters relating to relevant regulatory compliance reporting end-to-end, acting as the contact officer for matters such as reporting STRs (Suspicious Transaction Reports), Quarterly Income Statements, other accounting requirements, etc.
- Work with independent auditors and other relevant stakeholders for baselining the AML (Anti Money Laundering) / CTF (Counter Terrorism Financing) AML/ CTF manual and for ongoing updates, as required
- Define, implement, monitor, control, report and review AML / CTF strategy and operations, working closely with the company senior management and the Board
- Act upon regulatory inputs and feedback on risk management performance reporting
- Work with the FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit) to investigate STRs / SARs (Suspicious Transaction Reports) / Suspicious Activity Reports) and / or filings on the GOAML platform, as applicable
- Define and implement procedures for processing (Instrument) applications to the BOT for their approvals for new designated services or delivery channels
- Ensure AML / CTF compliance is measured and – as applicable – rewarded in the performance review process
- Conduct initial due diligence and ongoing evaluation of partners and other third-party service providers
- Keep all relevant records in accordance with local regulatory provisions and acts
- Coordinate periodic internal reviews of AML / CTF compliance at partner offices
- Conduct and report on partner analysis and transaction analysis, on an ongoing basis
- Classify partners as High, Medium and Low, on AML / CTF compliance
- Prepare and present all requisite periodic and ad hoc compliance reports and act on feedback thereon
Candidate requirements:
- 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Graduate degree
- Professional certifications like CAMS (Certified Anti Money- laundering Specialist)
- FinTech / Financial institution experience – highly preferable
- Payments domain experience, especially with SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) – highly preferable
