Our role is for a New business developper / Sales Representative – Romania (or another East Europe country)
- Our Client Company Presentation:
An UK family-owned/operated business and a leading global supplier of ingredients, predominantly nuts, dried fruit, seeds, grains, beans, pulses and confectionery to processors, packers and retailers. Having offices in the UK, Poland , Germany coupled with warehousing in strategic supply locations around the world, we can cater for all your supply requirements on ‘spot’ markets or forward contracts, from pallets to full containers.
Right now they are looking to expand in East Europe – Romania or/and cover over countries like Czech Rep, Slovakia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary:
Structure of the department:
- The new operations will be supported/ directly coordinated by their Polish office.
- It will start locally with "ONE MAN SHOW" role, acting from anywhere from East Europe (except Poland), ideally from Romania
- The Sales Representative collaborates closely with logistics, warehouse sales & marketing, operations and customer service colleagues regionally.
- No mandatory office presence. Polish / UK events held periodically for team cohesion.
- Activity benchmarks is just orientative: of an approximately 60 client visits and 8 proposals per month; these are indicative guidelines only, not mandatory KPIs.
Scope of the role:
- The New Business Developper / Regional Sales Representative will be responsible for building and expanding a local customer base primarily in Romania through proactive field sales activity.
- This is a 100% hunter profile; the role requires high autonomy, strong self-motivation and the ability to identify, approach and close new business independently.
- The position involves 75–85% field travel across the assigned territory.
- A company car is provided from day one;
- Targeted industry : retailers for similar type of products , direct competitors. etc
The few most important must haves of the best matching Candidate in this role are:
- Proven B2B field sales track record - minimum 5 years in a similar product (s) -selling environment (food ingredients)
- Strong hunter mentality: ability to self-generate leads, prospect independently, and close new accounts
- Experience in value-based selling - able to justify service ROI and handle price-focused objections
- Self-starter and openess for rigurous previous Employment references checks
- Comfortable with high travel intensity (75 - 85% of working time in the field)
- Business acumen: understanding of customer industries, market dynamics and buyer personas
- CRM discipline - structured pipeline management
- Diploma in business, marketing or related field - university graduate
- English fluent
- Sales technique certifications are a plus

As a new business /sales representative, you will ensure that you will be expected to build impactful new customer relationships in the field and deliver tailored solutions to meet the customer’s needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, visiting and / or contacting potential to meet sales targets.
- Assess customer needs, plan and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority; and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
- Provide intended customer experience by creating a desired emotional atmosphere through active listening towards the customer.
- Maintain sales activities in CRM database
- Stay updated on product and service knowledge and sales techniques through continuous training.
- Collaborate with the sales team to improve performance and share best practices.
- Manage own sales pipeline and be mindful of required activity to fulfil the goals in the pipeline.
Client can tailor the role to your knowledge and interests, giving you the opportunity to participate in interesting projects, including development initiatives.
If this role seems to be one of a sales starter, yes, however it us also a role that assumes strategic mind, initiatives, pro-activity in growing operations that can locally come to support sales, etc.

Indicative package for this role (subject to final confirmation):
- Fixed salary: minimum 25.000 Ron GROSS/month (B2B collaboration year 1 is also an option tbd_
- Bonus scheme: will be discussed with the employer; what we can details is that there is a commission on revenue generated in the given month, no minimum threshold, no maximum cap; they have accelerator tiers.
- Company car (essential given 75–85% field travel requirement) for personal usage as well (km will be deducted) (Corolla, Focus, flexible but still focused on safety and comfort).
