OPERATIONS MANAGER – in Iasi

Our client is an industry-leading transmission solutions manufacturer located in Iasi.

The Operations Manager will provide inspired leadership for the entire operation area, which involves making important decisions and also working to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role;
• Deep knowledge of production management;
• Experience managing large teams of 100+ employees;
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations;
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts;
• Experience in reporting on key performance metrics;
• Proficient in Romanian, English and MS Office, ERP software;
• Outstanding communication ability;
• Excellent organizational and leaderships skills;
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach;
• College degree in engineering, business or related field;
• Certification in Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology is a plus;
• Residence in Iasi Area is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing and supervising operations, manufacturing and production processes;
• Developing and implementing manufacturing processes that are safe, efficient, and cost-effective;
• Establishing policies and procedures to ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently;
• Planning and overseeing the production of goods in accordance with demand and quality standards;
• Monitoring product quality and taking corrective action when necessary;
• Evaluating new technology and equipment to determine feasibility and suitability for company needs;
• Implementing new technology to increase efficiency and productivity in manufacturing processes;
• Managing and developing the team of manufacturing workers, including hiring, firing, disciplining, and coaching employees as needed;
• Reviewing budgets to ensure that operations are profitable;
• Conducting inspections of work sites to monitor progress on projects or to identify areas for improvement;
• Developing and enforcing safety standards for employees to follow when working with machinery or other potentially dangerous tools or equipment;
• Managing employee training to ensure that they are always using safe work practices and using the most efficient methods possible.
