As a well known food retailer the company is planning to make use of the current market dynamics in the Caucasus. Usually operating in the mid price segment, it will bring quality at affordable prices to the region

The Job

As an expert in the food retail industry you will be responsible to increase the number of current retail outlets several times within the coming year and also assist in growing like for like sales. You will be expected to open between 10-30 stores per year. The position will coordinate all main functions:

• Store operations and expansion
• Achieving agressively set sales targets
• Close cooperation with the Commercial Director to set the right assortment and product mix
• Implements policies and procedures that increase operational effectiveness and maximize long-term store performance
• Hire and develop sales staff / reduction of staff turnover
• Customer support
• Logistics and Supply Chain

The person:

As an experienced retail professional you have started your career as a sales assistent or store manager or worked your way up through the ranks becoming a regional manager being responsible for several stores.  You like challenges like setting something up from scratch or reorganising existing operations. As a strong communicator you are aware of cultural challenges that can impact the efficient functioning of a business. We are mainly focussing on candidates who have gained their experience from leading supermarket chains in Eastern Europe or the CIS market.
