Oracle Apps DBA ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will be responsible for Alert Monitoring, Ticket Monitoring, Business E-Mail Monitoring, OEM Alert Monitoring, and Action - L1, EOC Support and Presence L1 resolve tickets of L1 (Provide Logs, User Password change, User Creation, Execute SQL and share the output, start-up and shutdown instances, Patching Development instances), Oracle SR Follow-up, Attend Team Meetings.
• Prod Health Check and Development instance health Check.
• Simple Development instance Maintenance
• Take lead and ownership in Complex issues, Technically Lead/ Contribute to Fairly complex Projects like ASM Migration, Database Re-org, Automation, etc.)
• Production instance maintenance (Simple and Complex both), execute a complex project which has documentation in place also, Resolve long running and complex issues like- Performance tuning L1 (Use COE, Copy and implement SQL Plan, Ability to take traces)
• Lead and contribute to EOC, OEM Alert Monitoring and Action - L2 and Repeating L1 alerts to fix root Cause, resolve tickets of L2 (Passwd change activity on Dev instances, Multiple patch applications on Dev instances, UC4 issues, Patch Analysis (Database, Grid upgrade, ASM to Non-ASM, Cloning Non-RAC instances, etc.)
• Troubleshooting L1 and L2 type issues (Why Program is failing, an enhancement to Dev instance health check, Enhancement to prod daily health check).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• The Oracle Apps DBA will be responsible for managing the performance of Oracle applications and databases.
• Installation, configuration, upgrading, administrating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and Patching of Oracle EBS.
• Supporting EBS 12.2 Application and 11g Also, worked on the ticketing system and tool on production/development EBS Database/Application issues.
• Coordination with Oracle, Application Support team, Unix/Linux/storage, and other Application interface teams.
• Perform Patching, cloning, taking backups, managing archives, and regular maintenance activities
• Reviewing code running in the system and providing recommendations to tune the SQL, PL/SQL code. Review AWR reports on a regular basis and provides recommendations
• Proactively Reviewing Wait Events in the system and providing recommendations accordingly.
