My client need an experienced HR Team Leader part time (school hours) to lead an HR Administration team taking tier 1 advisory calls and covering all areas of HR Admin in the employee life cycle. Initially a 6 month FTC with a view to going permanent. This is a Hybrid working role with at least 2 days a week in the office in Chertsey and 3 days working from home totalling 22.5 hours a week. The salary will be £20,400 - £21,600 with bonus, private medical and pension. You will need to have previous people management experience, be engaging with good diplomacy skills. The full time salary equivalent would be £36-37K.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- Provide a comprehensive HR administrative and tier 1 advisory service for all UK employees
- Responsible for employee lifecycle documentation and authorisation, in line with Company policy and guidelines
- Proactively manage all HR channels and associated ways of customer contact with the team.
- Manage work load, prioritise and allocate work within the team
- Proactively coach, develop and manage the performance of the team
- Suggest and implement process improvements that will contribute to more efficient working practices
- Be a Subject Matter expert for all operational aspects of HR processes
- Be a source of expert advice on CHRIS, I-Trent, Avature and HR Business Service portals and associated tools
- Provide reports on KPI's as required.
- Be involved in any cross functional or HR projects as necessary
- Ensure effective controls are in place to meet internal and external audits (ICS, PwC, CAA etc)

- Knowledge of ER policies and employment law
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to deal with difficult and sometimes contentious issues
- Competent using IT systems (previous experience with Microsoft, I-Trent, Avature, I-share advantageous)
- Competent with data analysis; and using tools such as v look-ups/pivot tables to tell the story
- Demonstrate track record of delivering process improvements
- Oustanding attention to detail
- CIPD qualified or working towards desirable
- Able to provide a full 5 year employment reference history
