Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Oversee the complete payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing for both weekly and monthly cycles.
- Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse payroll team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of top-tier client service.
- Process Implementation: Implement and enhance payroll systems, ensuring seamless integration and maximum efficiency. Familiarity with tools such as BrightPay, Pay Circle, and Key Pay is crucial.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, liaising with bodies such as HMRC and pension providers when necessary.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their payroll needs are met and exceeded.
- Strategic Growth: Identify and capitalise on business development opportunities, focusing on cross-selling, upselling, and expansion of the payroll offering.
- Financial Oversight: Take responsibility for the payroll P&L, ensuring timely billing and the strategic growth of this revenue stream.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in a senior payroll position, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll regulations, pension schemes, and auto-enrolment procedures.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with experience in team management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with key payroll software and tools.
- Ability to drive projects, ensuring timely completion and optimal results.
