Purpose of Recruiting:
FTXT Energy Technology Co., Ltd has a position available for a Chief/Principle/Sr process engineer. Reporting to Director-Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) Department, the successful candidate will work within the Production team with engineers and scientists to develop and lead advance PEM fuel cell catalyst inks processing related activities.
Responsibilities
Design, conduct and lead fuel cell catalyst ink development for prototype and production team for coating catalyst layers
Deliver or support advanced catalyst ink processing methods to MEA design team
Develop or support catalyst ink processing recipes for MEA design team, prototype and production team
Develop carbon inks for advanced microporous layers
Handle and maintain various catalysts ink processing equipment
Characterize catalyst and carbon inks for critical ink properties through various techniques
Analyze, interpret and summarize characterization data
Support and interact with MEA design, testing and characterization team
Support and interact with supply chain team
Maintain and enhance functional excellence in the area of processing technology including development of intellectual property and technical know-how
Support and closely interact with prototype and production coating team
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of, critically analyze and summarize relevant literature related to processing methods
Support and interact with business development team for scale-up planning and operation
Troubleshoot instrument and ink stability issues
Requirements
Degree in Chemistry/Chemical engineering or relevant Engineering field with strong lab skills and previous experience working in ink processing
5-10 years’s experience
Ph.D or equivalent experience is an asset
Strong knowledge of fuel cell catalyst, carbon and ionomer properties.
Familiarity with catalyst layer characterization and fuel cell performance and failure modes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and problem-solving skills
Self-driven and team player
Proven ability to deliver quickly and reliably under pressure
