Responsibilities:

• Direct the radiation oncology physics program, providing technical direction to medical dosimetrists, therapy equipment service engineers, and other support staff.
• Calibrate therapy equipment to ensure accurate radiation dose delivery.
• Oversee the determination of radiation dose distribution in patients undergoing treatment.
• Perform acceptance testing of new equipment and treatment devices.

Objectives:

• Design, optimize, and evaluate treatment plans for precise and accurate delivery.
• Ensure radiation protection for patients and staff.
• Develop and implement quality management programs for external beam radiotherapy equipment and therapeutic radioisotopes.
• Review and approve radiation staff procedures for dose delivery.
