- 1-job summary:
- 1.1Assess, evaluate, and treat patient as per diagnosis. To do regular document, progress notes include:1.2re-evaluation of the patient and discharge summary for every patient.
- 2-Duties and Responsibilities:
- 2.1-Make complete document initial physical therapy assessment and evaluation for eve1y patient before application oftreatment.
- 2.2-Assessment and evaluation ofpatient have to include:
- 2.3-Aims and plan of treatment have to be appropriate to patient abilities, limitations and patient's needs.
- 2.4-Subjective and objective evaluation.
- 2.5-Treat the patient as diagnosis, physical therapy request, plan, prognosis, and patient's needs.
- 2.6-Regular document, progress notes include re-evaluation of the patient to ensure effectiveness of treatment, prognosis, and patient's response.
- 2.7Discharge summary for every patient must include advice to the patient to return back to the refe1Tal physician for consultation.
- 2.8-Communicates effectively with colleagues and patients.
- 2.9-Canied out specific requested treatment if requested is appropriate and meets patient needs. If requested treatment is inappropriate or do not meet patient's need, is discussed with the supervisor or refening physician and action and outcome documented.
- 2.10-Paiticipate in continuous medical education program and committee such as Q.I., multidisciplina1y team and family.
- 2-11-Physiotherapists must have a training course but not limited to:
- a-Safety of self and patient
- b-Fire training and Disaster response
- d-Infection control and CPR
- e-Safe use of equipment
- 2.12-Works closely with physicians and other health care and educational personnel to provide comprehensive and effective therapy programs for the patients involved.
- 2.13-Works closely with the Supervisor/in- charge Physical Therapist(s), to ensure the best possible program for the Physical Therapists, Rehabilitation Unit, and the patient population. Keeps the In charge Physical Therapist(s) informed concerning problems, recommendations, etc., involving the Physical Therapy Services Program.
- 2.14-Provides thorough diagnostic evaluations of patients. Implements treatment protocols appropriate to the diagnosis and sets goals and timeframes in preparation for discharge planning.
- 2.15-Treatment objectives are identified and coordinated with the patient and family members to assure maximum independence, productivity an satisfaction

- 3. Education/ Licensure:

- Graduation from approved medical school with bachelor's degree of physical therapy as a Physiotherapist
- Valid license to practice as required by the Ministly of Health of Saudi Arabia
