Job Description
The role involves analyzing thermal heat loss, performing detailed piping design calculations, and evaluating stress as per ASME codes using CAESAR II. You will also be responsible for leak checks, designing supports and expansion elements, and conducting in-depth analysis for both chiller and process plants.
- Thermal Heat Loss Analysis: Proficient in analyzing heat loss for single, double, and heat-traced pipes using FEA and hand calculations per ASTM C680.
- Piping Design Calculations: Skilled in performing detailed calculations for sizing, hydraulic losses, wall thickness, HVAC load, and support spans.
- Stress Analysis: Experienced in analyzing piping stress following ASME codes using CAESAR II and preparing thorough technical reports.
- Leak and Load Checks: Adept at checking for leaks in flanges and evaluating nozzle loads for equipment.
- Support and Expansion Design: Expertise in designing and selecting supports, hangers, line stops, and sizing expansion loops and elements.
- Thrust Blocks and Anchors: Competent in designing and sizing thrust blocks, buried concrete anchors, and welded anchor plates.
- Soil and Settlement Stresses: Capable of calculating stresses from soil, traffic, and overburden settlement on buried pipes per ALA standards.
- Chiller & Process Plant Analysis: Extensive experience in analyzing chiller plants and process plant systems.
