Job Title: Plant Head – Assembly (Motor)
Location: Chakan, Maharashtra
Experience: 15+ years (with leadership experience in operations and parts assembly)

Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations & Profitability
- Oversee end-to-end plant operations, ensuring high production efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery of assembled parts and motors.
- Drive profitability by optimizing operational costs, improving productivity, and enhancing overall plant efficiency.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to meet and exceed business targets.
Manufacturing & Process Excellence
- Ensure smooth functioning of assembly operations for motors and associated components in alignment with automotive OEM standards.
- Maintain the highest quality benchmarks with adherence to IATF 16949 and other relevant certifications.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and Kaizen practices.
Operations / Parts Assembly
- Manage complete lifecycle of motor/parts assembly operations, ensuring zero-defect output and minimal downtime.
- Implement advanced assembly techniques, automation, and best practices in line balancing and takt time optimization.
- Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) across assembly lines.
Supply Chain & Logistics
- Oversee supply chain, procurement, and logistics functions to ensure uninterrupted material availability and timely production.
- Strengthen vendor and supplier relationships and drive efficient inventory management and cost control.
Financial & Cost Management
- Prepare and manage plant-level budgets including manpower, maintenance, and operational costs.
- Identify and implement cost-saving projects and initiatives to support margin improvements.
Stakeholder & OEM Engagement
- Serve as the key point of contact for OEM customers, ensuring alignment on quality, delivery, and service expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Sales, HR) and external stakeholders to support business goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in automotive/auto component manufacturing, with strong expertise in assembly operations.
- Proven experience in managing large plant teams and high-volume manufacturing setups.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing systems, quality systems (IATF 16949), and operational excellence.
- Leadership capabilities with a track record of driving performance, quality, and efficiency improvements.
