Our client has been in India for more than 20 years, offering an entire range of water and waste solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of municipalities and industries across India, including engineering and construction services, operations and maintenance services, performance contracts, and significant maintenance and refurbishment.

Position: Plant Manager - Waste Management(direct/indirect manage around 150 ppl)

Location: Ankleshwar, Gujarat - India

This position reports to the General Manager.

Main achievements/Missions/Objectives:

The Plant Manager is expected to operate the Plant in accordance with our client's core values, in:

• Ensuring the health and safety of all workers on the site, in particular by ensuring the proper implementation of the OHS plan, in conju nction with the support functions involved
• Ensuring the proper coordination between different departments , including support functions, with direct management of all department heads (managers and senior managers), in the daily operations of the plant.
• Having a proactive approach towards process improvement in order to increase the consistency of operations to achieve the targets set by General Management, including but not restricted to quality management, preventive maintenan ce, spares management and digitalisation
• Having a proactive approach towards financial performance improvement, in order to achieve the targets set by General Management, including but not restricted to cost control & suppliers selection (in liaison with procurement department), operational performance, and coordination with Marketing teams

Qualification requirements:

• Degree in Environmental / Water / Industrial / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
• 15+ years’ experience, including experience in operational management and P&L responsibility - 5+ years professional experience in India
• Experience in working for an International Corporation
• Familiar with effluent treatment technologies and processes
• Fluent in English and Hindi, Gujarti is a plus.
• Full-time based in Ankleshwar, with biweekly trips to Surat and occasional trips to Delhi
