We are looking for a self-driven data expert with fluency in building solutions using Power BI technology. You will be responsible for developing our data pipe-line architecture and ensuring seamless data flow including extraction & transformation from various systems within the enterprise.

The right candidate is excited by the prospect of developing the data architecture and setting up data pipelines to drive the various reporting needs of the enterprise. It  brings knowledge and skill in multiple data technologies but is hands-on in Power BI & related technologies.

Job Responsibilities

1) Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture using industry accepted standards and blueprints.

2) Assemble, large complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.

3) Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements - automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

4) Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Azure, AWS technologies.

5) Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.

6) Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

7) Work with Business Analysts & Report Engineers to ensure that the data sets being set-up for their reporting needs are optimal, usable and performant.

8) Build tools that interface with infrastructure applications, to extract their utilization & availability-data for planning and forecasting purposes.

Job Requirements

1) A BE, preferably in computer science with at least 5 + years of industry experience in areas of data extraction, transformation, consolidation through various projects in various domains

2) Strong Analytical &, Problem-Solving skills in relation to structured and unstructured data.

3) Strong visualization skills – UX, Data, Integrated System. Ability to imagine and contemplate what is happening under the hood.

4) Understanding of data modelling, data entities and presenting these through ER diagrams.

5) A successful history of extracting , manipulating, processing, or consolidating data from large disconnected datasets through various ETL tools/data pipeline technologies.

6) Experience in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

7) Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentations through ER diagrams, flow diagrams, block diagrams, charts and data drill downs etc

8) Expertise in at least one database (eg: SQL Server) and one reporting tool (Eg: Power BI) is a must. Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.

9) Experience in working with ‘Power BI’/ ‘Power Query’/”Power BI Data-flow’ or any other ETL technologies (eg: Azure Data-factory)

10) Experience in designing, setting-up and populating a data warehouse/data-lake to enable Report developers to design and test their BI reports/dashboards
