Job Description
Education/Qualification:
- Academic qualification BE / BTECH with combination of Mechanical or Mechatronics
Work Experience:
- Experience of design / development of processes and/or equipment.
- Experience of working with light automated assembly processes, robotics and/or equipment for rubber/plastic manufacturing.
- Exposure to working with HSE requirements (PUWER) and Machinery Directives.
- Management of capital projects associated with equipment specification, procurement and implementation.
Knowledge:
- Technical:
- Exposure to the process of design/development through to delivery/implementation of equipment through external suppliers and internal engineering functions.
- Provision of technical support to Operations - training, trouble shooting, equipment up grade.
- Systems and methods for the introduction of new product into production and design for manufacture.
- Equipment specification and subsequent compliance management.
- Exposure to closed tool technologies advantageous (injection, transfer moulding).
- Knowledge rubber/plastics manufacturing technologies advantageous.
- Analytical: practical experience of data analysis using 6 Sigma, Lean tools or equivalent.
- Quality Management: working within a structured environment aligned to QMS for automotive organisations.
- Methods: practical knowledge and application of equipment benchmarking and testing; proficient and practical experience of managing multiple projects including budgetary management; knowledge of IP, knowledge of VA/VE, Lean and Kaizen tools, application of FMEA
- IT: proficient in CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD), MS Office tools, data analysis tools, document management systems.
