Education/Qualification:

• Academic qualification BE / BTECH with combination of Mechanical or Mechatronics

Work Experience:

• Experience of design / development of processes and/or equipment.
• Experience of working with light automated assembly processes, robotics and/or equipment for rubber/plastic manufacturing.
• Exposure to working with HSE requirements (PUWER) and Machinery Directives.
• Management of capital projects associated with equipment specification, procurement and implementation.

Knowledge:

• Technical:
• Exposure to the process of design/development through to delivery/implementation of equipment through external suppliers and internal engineering functions.
• Provision of technical support to Operations - training, trouble shooting, equipment up grade.
• Systems and methods for the introduction of new product into production and design for manufacture.
• Equipment specification and subsequent compliance management.
• Exposure to closed tool technologies advantageous (injection, transfer moulding).
• Knowledge rubber/plastics manufacturing technologies advantageous.
• Analytical: practical experience of data analysis using 6 Sigma, Lean tools or equivalent.
• Quality Management: working within a structured environment aligned to QMS for automotive organisations.
• Methods: practical knowledge and application of equipment benchmarking and testing; proficient and practical experience of managing multiple projects including budgetary management; knowledge of IP, knowledge of VA/VE, Lean and Kaizen tools, application of FMEA
• IT: proficient in CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD), MS Office tools, data analysis tools, document management systems.
