• Ensure materials and services procured are conforming to Company’s standard and purchase order specifications, quality and design criteria.
• Procure expeditiously all supplies and services from approved manufacturer/distributor/stockiest and to guarantee continuous supply consistent with the cost, quality and availability. 
• Negotiate to the fullest on every purchase, initiate cost savings and to monitor price history.
• Put in place the lead time to major raw materials for guiding the Inventory to avoid stock-out or overstocking.
• Offer stock items as substitute to original materials requirement in order to reduce inventory.
• Assist Engineering dept. to identify the available materials, specifications, etc. for design purposes.
• Support the Estimation dept. by providing informations on the available sources, pricing, technical requirements, etc.  Including all the departments that require assistance.
• Hedging raw materials, supplies and sub-contract works where necessary and applicable that can result to cost reduction.
• Validate requisitions, contracts and PO’s with suppliers and expedite orders.
• Manage the clearance and transportation of imported materials and supplies from the sea/airport until it reaches yard.
• Initiate the claims to vendors (as when required).
• Support the need of the Shipping Dept.
