Our client is one of the leading distributors of materials and equipment for the advertising industry, present on the Romanian market for over 25 years and is looking for an Procurement Specialist.
Role overview:
This role plays a key part in securing the right products and services at the right cost, time, and quality to support business continuity and growth. The Procurement Specialist manages the end-to-end procurement lifecycle while driving process improvements and contributing to a strong and reliable supplier system.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Procurement
- Manage the full purchasing flow: internal requirements gathering, sourcing and supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders and delivery follow-up.
- Ensure product availability at required stock levels while maintaining strict adherence to delivery terms, quality standards, quantities and commercial conditions.
- Support the implementation and compliance of commercial policies including discounts, payment terms and volume-based incentives.
- Maintain strong collaboration with Logistics, Production and Finance to ensure accurate and timely supply planning.
- Work closely and provide coordination when required to the Procurement Assistant, ensuring data accuracy and internal process compliance.
- Participate in the definition of monthly, quarterly and annual procurement budgets and support variance analysis against business needs.
Analysis & Process Optimization
- Analyze stock rotation, cost evolution, supplier performance and lead times, proposing improvements and recurring cost-optimization solutions.
- Prepare monthly procurement performance reports including budget adherence tracking.
- Contribute to the definition and periodic update of commercial terms including discounts, payment conditions and clearance campaigns.
- Support procurement digitalization and automation initiatives including ERP enhancement and reporting via business intelligence tools.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and propose preventive mitigation actions.
- Provide analytical support to company management in procurement-related strategy initiatives.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- University degree in Economics, Engineering or Administrative fields.
- Minimum 5 years experience in procurement roles (preferably in B2B and/or technical industries).
- Demonstrated experience in international procurement and cross-border supplier negotiation.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with advanced Excel, ERP and Power BI capabilities.
- Understanding of procurement KPIs (OTIF, cost saving, lead time, stock rotation).
- Excellent communication, planning, prioritization and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proactive mindset with desire to grow into leadership responsibilities and contribute to internal process development.
- English – conversational level required.
