Role Profile:
The Product Manager role will suit a senior enthusiastic and energetic professional, with excellent communication skills who is entrepreneurial in nature and driven to advance a commercially sound, client focused agenda. Prerequisites for the role include significant relevant proven experience, deep knowledge of Investment Funds and Life Insurance including how they are managed and promoted as well as sound commercial business acumen and excellent relationship building skills. The role will cover the areas of Product Development and Market Intelligence.
Duties:
• Co-ordinate the drafting and delivery of Regulatory and client product documentation (for funds and insurance) including pre-contractual documents (e.g. offering docs, PRIIPS, KIDS)
• Following Regulatory approval to undertake responsibility for local management and oversight of Distributor documentation management, including version control and distribution.
• Contribute to, and lead (where required), Distributor oversight including ensuring legal agreements are in place and overseen (incl. v SLAs), establishing due diligence review for new distributors, working with distributors for the annual strategy review, overseeing complaints and checking sales figures and channels (incl. negative target market). Provide information to the DP for Distribution as required.
• Take the lead on new product launches, discrete product changes/ innovations as required; this ensures managing of internal and external stakeholders ensuring a collaborative approach and leveraging best practices/ input from all
• Working with other established team members to re-engineer and automate core processes leveraging new and existing technologies to benefit service delivery across the department
• Undertake regular structured reviews of existing product solutions with a view to evolving each (overall proposition, commercial positioning, and embedded services) in line with changing client needs, market trends and opportunities.
• Understand the commercial aspects of the products esp. when launching new products in jurisdictions with non-tied agents; ensure product training aspects are developed and maintained
• Input into the work of the broader department as and when required.

• The ability to work independently and to distil investment information / concepts into easily digestible formats suitable for broad market consumption.
• Strong project management, information technology and analytical skills
• A creative approach with the ability to positively influence target audiences through engaging materials and media.
• Proficient English is a requirement with proficiency in one of the following additional European languages (Italian, Spanish or German) a distinct advantage
Qualifications & Experience:
• 5 years+ relevant work experience in the product department of a cross border investment product provider, ideally retail focused.
• Deep knowledge of the investment funds and life insurance industry, regulatory frameworks, asset class risk and return drivers as well as management techniques and processes.
• A genuine curiosity about investment markets coupled with the desire and ability to make a difference in connecting the business with target audiences.
