We are hiring for our client: Product Manager Cosmetics Ingredients – Specialities Chemicals - Benelux
Location: Brussel office or home office in Belgium or Netherlands

The successful candidate will be expected to understand the technical nature for the wide range of raw materials that find their application in Cosmetics industry in Benelux, in the ingredients market and knowing quite well the world of distribution.
The overall objective of the role is to grow both the turnover and profitability of the Cosmetic Ingredients markets within the Life Sciences division as a priority.
This position reports to the local Business Manager of Life Sciences.
Mission – Keys responsibilities:
- Evaluation, definition, and positioning product portfolio according to market requirement.
- Ensures the Sales & Commercial introduction to targeted marketplace - Searching for opportunities, maintaining, and expanding contacts in the branch.
- Management of a broad product portfolio while identifying gaps to support the gain of new suppliers on local & group level. Establishing & maintaining long term customer & supplier relationships.
- Contribute to maintain robust pipeline of new projects/new supplier’s opportunities
- Prevents and manages the conflicts of any nature with customers/Suppliers.
- Regular follow up of turnover/ margins according to budget and objectives
- Participation to digital marketing/communication actions (website, trade fairs, associations, social networks…)
- Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge within areas of responsibility.
- Close collaboration with Sales team, customer service colleagues, warehouse colleagues and group development team
- Responsibility for stock management.
Qualification and Experience :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Cosmetics, biochemistry, chemistry,
- Sales Commercial Experience of 5-7 years minimum in the field of Cosmetic Ingredients.
- Knowing quite well the world of distribution Market and local cosmetic industry in Benelux.
- Ability to find, identify & create opportunities in our markets
- Excellent clear concise communicator - Ability to use own initiative, Entrepreneurial spirit
- Problem solver - Self-motivated, must be able to work independently.
- Have the patience to pioneering and facing long-term projects.
- Desire for domestic travel on a regular long-term basis.
- Fluent in English (Spoken, Written). Dutch is a must. French is a plus.
