Our client I s top player in its niche of food production and distribution, in Romania with fast expansion happening within South-East Europe.

We look for a proven senior production manager within food/food ingredients sector, ideally experienced within meat or/and fish production.

This person must be able to coordinate two sections of raw frozen and processed food.

There are currently sections head but we need a new role to take lead of the entire production area, someone with the necessary seniority and knowledge, would be desirable to streamline production processes.

Key role requirements

• Solid knowledge is required in the quality area, IFS controls, maintenance and efficiency, LEAN manufacturing etc. - with proven previous results of resolving issue and improved production efficiency and quality

• Company has few hundreed employees with their majority in production; therefore we look for a similar coordination experience is envisaged for the role

• Able to cope with presence sometimes in both shifts day and night and the availability to work at low temperatures at times

• Availability for long hours or/and flexible hours, ad-hoc calls on duty,  as usual for production managers – a mandatory requirement.

Person requirements

Food production managers require a blend of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge  and strong leadership to oversee safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key skills include inventory control, scheduling, and equipment maintenance, along with soft skills like communication, problem-solving, and team management to drive continuous improvement in fast-paced environments.

Experience of a min 3-5 years of relevant management exposure in food production, able to demonstrate his/her previous performances.

What if this person of chief engineer, or quality manager and not yet a production manager? Yes, we can consider, but this person must be able to demonstrate the knowledge covering all the production management aspects and to possess a right work attitude and the proper people skills.

English language desirable.
