Purpose:
Looking for an experienced program manager having sharp business mind and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level. Strong talent for project coordination and motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.
Objective:
- Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
- Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement
- Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
- Manage multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
Responsibilities
- Overall In-charge of the program with direct responsibility of client management, program profitability/growth, requirements, onsite team management, and quality control
- Be the single point of contact for Tavant for the customer and provide thought leadership and day-to-day engagement for the client.
- Build a strong relationship with customer and assist program steering committee
- Recommends strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating requirements; identifying problems; evaluating trends
- Develop & review project schedules and monitors project / program plan ensuring progress is within expected guidelines, on-time and within planned budget
- Establish and maintain processes to manage scope, risk and issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Establish and maintain project communications. Identify, track, monitor and communicate project-related issues, escalations, scope changes, variances and contingencies arising during program/ project implementation
- Set project quality and performance standards for all deliverables
- Build and develop a strong onsite team and drive knowledge sharing and learning from project experiences
- Ensure key project-wide roles and responsibilities are defined
- Maintain team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities
- Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing Tavant projects
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing Tavant standards
- Actively participate in project sizing and resource requirements
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of IT Program Management experience overseeing IT programs
- Must be bilingual with Japanese and English skills, Managed Japanese speaking customers
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and teams; demonstrated ability to coordinate customers, individuals and groups to meet performance baselines
- Proven experience managing a program with 25 or more individuals
- Must work well in a fast-paced demanding environment
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with minimal supervision
- Strong customer communication skills (interpersonal/oral/written) with an ability to communicate complex technical concepts and translate into non-technical business solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management Information Systems, or related from an accredited institution; three - five years of Program Management experience
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate
- Fluent in professional Japanese, and English (written, verbal)
- Preference to Native Japanese
