THE ROLE
Project and Reliability Engineer
Main responsibilities:
- To propose and evaluate new idea or projects, defining accurate business cases and evaluating costs and resources need
- To maximize project efficiency and profitability
- To prioritize and implement a complex technical project agenda with Gantt tools
- To identify project responsibilities, delegating steps and elements to appropriate resources
- To collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, C&Q and Operation Technologies in order to develop scope and user requirements for project design and implementation
- To write/review the technical project documentation (i.e project plan, URS, MR) according with stakeholders needs
- To develop and monitor the entire life cycle of the project plan
- To maintain oversight of budget, scheduling and regularly report to the Site Engineering Services Manager to keep him constantly informed of work progress, plans and issues that could significantly affect costs or schedules
- To participate in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
- To be responsible for the final project documentation compliance and as built archiving
- To contribute to the design of the guidelines issued by Engineering in the definition of technical standards and best practices in pharmaceutical engineering
- To lead technical changes for process equipment and utilities modifications/revamping by using specific tools (as Trackwise, Documentum, SAP PM..)
- To drive continuous improvement of process equipment, assuring compliance to latest rules and regulation
- To develop engineering solutions/projects to repetitive equipment and utilities technical failures
- To plan, execute and manage optimization projects in terms of performance and reduction of maintenance costs
- To support the maintenance manager in analyzing effectiveness of mechanical / electrical / instrumental maintenance activities
- To work with Production to perform analyses of assets
- In case of CAPA, to lead technical investigations and coordinates technical troubleshooting and RCA for process equipment and utilities
- To support the technical evaluation for the introduction of new products
- To support Purchase dept for the vendors selection and all technical procurements needs
- To own the relations with technical third parties like engineering companies, equipment suppliers and contractors managing service orders and contracts
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor of Engineering, preferreably Mehcanical Engineering
- 4+ years of shopfloor management experience and/or in the projects management (scope, program, cost, quality) of Pharma plants, better if oral solids plants
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, particularly of oral solids production and packaging
- Additional experience in reliability/maintenance would represent a plus
- Excellent knowledge of the Office package, of design software (such as AutoCAD) and of CMMS (such as SAP-PM)
- Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance (GxP) guidelines and best practices
- Flexibility and result orientation
- Good knowledge of the English language
