Their capabilities extend to specialized sectors, including data center construction.The Opportunity: As a Project Cost Controller/Quantity Surveyor, you will occupy a pivotal role in our journey to redefine construction excellence. Your unique combination of cost control expertise, academic qualifications, and civil engineering acumen will pave the way for potential advancement into the role of QS team manager as you grow with them.
What We're Seeking:
- Possess a background in civil engineering with practical experience.
- Ideally, you should bring experience in the construction industry, particularly in data center construction, and a strong commitment to safety.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of German or other languages is considered a significant asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the tender process by conducting quantity take-offs, reaching out to suppliers and providers for material/tool/machine prices, and constructing competitive bid prices.
- Handle monthly valuations for construction sites.
- Prepare monthly reports and undertake additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- Act as a liaison between site managers, project managers, site engineers, and the client.
Candidate Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or a related field.
- Ideally, you should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating or finance, which is advantageous.
- Demonstrate impeccable attention to detail, robust analytical skills, and the ability to think critically.
- Possess a solid understanding of construction practices.
- Exhibit exceptional organizational, planning, and strategizing abilities.
- Thrive under pressure, with prior knowledge of pricing and contracting being a valuable asset.
- English proficiency is a primary requirement, while proficiency in German or other languages is a desirable bonus.
