Project: Metro Line 6 (1 Mai – Henri Coandă Airport)

Reports To: Local Operational Manager

Role Objective

Lead and manage the full execution of the Metro Line 6 construction project. Ensure the timely, on-budget, and quality delivery of all components, aligned with regulatory and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design, execution, and technical reporting for Metro Line 6 – Package 2

• Serve as company representative with beneficiaries, partners, subcontractors, and authorities

• Manage project budgets, including EU-funded components (e.g., POIM, PNRR)

• Track and control execution progress—both physical and financial

• Address delays, risks, and corrective measures

• Ensure alignment with funding body requirements (JASPERS, EIB)

• Comply with all legal, contractual, safety, and environmental standards

• Manage authorizations, workfront handovers, and documentation

• Participate in inspections, audits, and site coordination meetings

Education

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Railway, Installations, or Transportation

• Postgraduate studies in Project Management preferred

Experience

• Minimum 10 years in civil construction or transport infrastructure

• Minimum 5 years in a senior technical or project leadership role

• Strong preference for metro or urban rail project experience

• Experience managing EU-funded infrastructure projects

Certifications

• PMP®, IPMA, or PRINCE2 (mandatory or in progress)

• HSE or site supervision certifications are a plus

Key Competencies

• Strong leadership and negotiation skills

• Expertise in public procurement (Law 98/2016), HG 1/2018, and FIDIC

• Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera)

• Fluent in English—required for dealing with international consultants
