I am currently looking for a Purchasing Co-Ordinator based in Greenford. The right candidate must have experience in an FMCG environment and at least 2 year's experience in purchasing.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse historical demand profiles by product line (bought in and packaging components) and liaise with sales and marketing to forecast future sales demands including promotional distortions
- Place orders on suppliers to meet customer demands, minimising obsolescence risks, minimising uplift/logistics costs, maximising volume discounts, whilst adhering to stock turn targets and managing warehouse space
- Regularly review sales demand in the context of supplier lead times and MOQ's to reduce service and obsolescence risks. Challenge both supplier and sales accordingly where appropriate
Must haves:
- High level of literacy in spreadsheet (Excel) and planning systems and processes
- Demonstrably strong arithmetical competence
- Strong personal integrity and ethical standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with, and develop, successful working relationships with key Stakeholders at all levels within the business
- Ability to think on feet and react quickly to changing circumstances
- Ability to predict issues and find solutions under pressure
- Totally focused on, and committed to customer service excellence and passionate about "right first time" approach
