Essential responsibilities and duties

 Purchasing Director coordinates the Plant Purchase Leaders within his/her perimeter. The role is responsible for purchasing savings at Country level, for the different plants within his/her perimeter.

The main missions of the role are:

As a Purchasing Director:

• Contribute to the identification and implementation of productivity actions (product / process) for cost reduction, in close coordination with Commodity Buyers/Plant Purchase Leaders
• Monitor productivity performance for perimeter through cross-functional teamwork in the country under their responsibility (i.e. productivity committees). Present to the Country board and Business Head the productivity plan
• Challenge Commodities to achieve the Purchasing Budget for the Country within perimeter
• For most critical topics, support the Supply Chain team to improve supplier deviation in Mis deliveries Per Million (MPM)
• Be involved in the kick-off phase of the program to prepare for Start of Production. Lead transfer meetings with Purchase leaders at program take-over
• Lead negotiation for Engineering Change Requests and product productivity, in close relationship with Purchase leaders
