Job Title: Engineering Change & Quality Lead – Automotive Manufacturing (PVT Engineer)
 

Job Summary:
This role involves managing and coordinating all engineering-related activities, including change management, design issue resolution, and manufacturing quality support across all vehicle lines at the Plant. The position supports both new product launches and steady-state operations, working closely with cross-functional teams and global engineering counterparts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering support for new model launches and steady-state production.
• Address design issues with effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate engineering changes and deviations, ensuring seamless communication with manufacturing teams.
• Analyze and report on customer warranty issues; drive resolution with engineering teams.
• Support quality improvements in manufacturing processes using problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, etc.).
• Ensure engineering compliance with all manufacturing and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering (MBA preferred).
• 8–12 years of experience in Vehicle PVT/Warranty; 3–5 years in vehicle design preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive assembly, engineering change management, and launch processes.
• Experience in problem-solving and quality tools like 8D, DMAIC, FMEA.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Tamil is a plus.
