Scope of the role:

• The responsibilities of this position include engaging and building relationships with developers within the Python communities, strengthening collaboration with other communities, creating technical content, developing demos with partners, hosting events, and building relationships with technology communities and organizations.
• The role also involves working closely with the Python team, occasionally participating in development sprints, advocating for clean code, collaborating with community managers, enhancing ecosystem engagement, and leveraging social media presence to amplify the brand within the developer community.

 

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

• Strong experience in Python development.
• Solid understanding of Python language and familiarity with its latest standards.
• Prior experience presenting Python-related subjects to technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing about Python.
• Experience in source code quality and CI/CD.
• Proven success in scaling community presence.
• Track record of getting speaking abstracts accepted into technical conferences.
• Growing following on social media platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills with technical audiences.
• Collaborative mindset.
• It is essential that you are a resident in Switzerland, the UK, the European Union, or the USA with a valid work status.

Main responsibilities:

• Engage with developers across Python communities and build mindshare.
• Establish deep collaboration with communities, forums, and projects.
• Create technical content in various formats.
• Develop demos with vendors and partners.
• Host events and speak at conferences.
• Promote and drive attendance for company-hosted events and webinars.
• Establish relationships with technology communities and organizations.
• Work with the Python team and participate in technical discussions.
• Occasionally participate in Python static code analyzer development sprints.
• Partner with community managers, sales engineers, and product marketers.
• Collaborate with community managers and other advocates.
• Leverage social media presence to amplify the brand (Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, Youtube, TikTok etc).
