Our client is a leading automotive sales and marketing technology company. Their goal is to help dealers and manufacturers sell more products and achieve a greater digital experience for their customers with the most innovative services. Serving 90% of automotive manufacturers, they are achieving a fast and ambitious trajectory.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a QA Engineer who will have a mixed role of manual testing and test automation. You will be working with a cross functional team of product managers and developers on a range of different enterprise SaaS tools and solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve scalable, reliable and capable software delivery.
• Improve team efficiency and reduce risks on software delivery through proposed tools and processes.
• Find solutions to testing issues by working with engineers and the test helpdesk.
• Champion the quality and quality assurance process in the sprint in order to maintain the quality of our Platform and the required software releases.
• Expand and develop test automation to reduce manual testing.
• Effective communication with developers, QA, support team and product.
• Comfort working remotely, and effective collaboration with the rest of the team through digital channels.
• Writing effective bug and test reports with full information and root cause analysis where possible and tracking the ticket to closure.
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment with the ability to change focus and priorities with market demands and changing requirements.
• Build a strong understanding of our products, architecture and data flow.
• Bring areas of concern to the surface in a concise, clear and solution-focused manner.
• Take ownership of the testing activities in the project for automation and manual testing.

REQUIREMENTS

• Effective working and communication skills
• Maintenance, creation and execution of automated and manual tests
• Experience working in a cross-functional team working with agile methodologies
• Experience in test design to identify test gaps and use the appropriate tools to eliminate them
• Experience with any JavaScript framework, or with automated frameworks such as Cypress, WebdriverIO
• Experience with BDD practices, the Test Pyramid Practices and CI/CD
• Previous work with different QA tools, such as test management tools, defect tracking systems, and cloud-based platforms such as SauceLabs, Bowserstack
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Highly desirable experience in database migration testing.
