Job Title: Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager
Department: Quality Assurance
Job Summary: The Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing quality standards, procedures, and processes, as well as ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The QA/QC Manager will lead a team of quality professionals and work collaboratively with various departments to continuously improve product or service quality.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Standards and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations and standards.
Quality Control: Establish and manage quality control processes and inspections at various stages of production or service delivery. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify and address non-conformities.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of quality assurance and quality control professionals. Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality testing, inspections, and audits. Prepare reports on quality performance and make recommendations for improvement. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product or service quality and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes of quality issues.
Supplier Quality Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and evaluations as needed. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and respond to customer feedback and complaints related to quality issues. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address customer concerns.
Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential quality risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Training and Development: Provide training and development programs to ensure all employees understand and follow quality standards.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, or a relevant discipline). Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control, with at least 8-12 years in a managerial or leadership role. Strong knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities. Quality certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) are desirable. Experience with quality management software and tools.
