Join a Leading Food Retailer as a Quality Assurance Executive!

Purpose of Role: As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality & Responsible Retailing Controller to uphold the company's commitment to quality, food and product safety, supplier due diligence, and responsible retailing.
This role will encompass climate, environment, and sourcing responsibilities, with a focus on regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and responsible retailing communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring that the company remains compliant with current and upcoming legislation affecting its operations.
- Represent the company at appropriate legislative and retail association meetings, communicating vital information internally to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the communication of key Responsible Retailing achievements and targets to internal teams, government bodies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and consumers.
Experience & Qualifications Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with food and associated non-food products.
- A relevant degree or equivalent. Food technical qualifications (Food Science, Food Technology)
- Demonstrable history of supplier engagement and visits to drive improvements.
- HACCP qualification (Level 3 minimum).
- TACCP qualification with experience in developing and managing an emerging food fraud risk system.
- Experience in communication and liaison with retail associations, government bodies, and other external organisations.
- Understanding of WRAP UK plastics pact targets and GHG emissions reporting requirements.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and managing an ethical trading agenda, including familiarity with the SEDEX platform.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in the household, chemicals, or medicine sectors. Auditor qualification.
