Define a methodology for
- Efficient Quality processes within the organization for superior customer experience
- Effective measurement of Customer Complaints, Internal & External rework/rejection with simple KPI management
- On-time efficient customer communication during new developments and routine production interactions
- Making Quality transparent within the organization and to management
- Tool life and quality instruments management with on-time calibrations
Assign roles and responsibility to team
- Define role & responsibility within the team, strive for high resource utilization
- Provide active support to the primary functions; production, sourcing, etc.
- Active participation in daily production meetings and anticipate the required support to meet the sales target
- Implement kaizen culture and use hi-tech measuring tools and systems to drive efficiency in inspection process
- Develop and empower the team with accountability and ownership
- Prepare training plans in general and specific for the team members
- Plan-Do-Check-Act should be part of function, business and team management
- Effective and Simple activities monitoring for self and the team in day-to-day activities
Lean Structure and manufacturing Process
- Strive for reduced head count in QA function with smart use of resource and instruments
- Drive the Quality culture of ‘Quality in Manufacturing’ with required simplicity with effectiveness in operations
- Take lead in operator training to have ‘First-Time-Right’ quality in manufacturing
- Constantly review and introduce Quality tools to continually improve the quality and efficiency in the operations
- Strive for ‘Zero Defect’ quality in operations and new developments
- Active role in supplier development to avoid overheads internally for the performance of suppliers
New Product Development Projects
- Support the Project team in pre-study cost commitment
- Strive for simplicity and effectiveness in development process
- Attend Customer Meetings and develop the in-process and final inspection plan at development stage itself
- To ensure robust process engineering, bring the knowledge & capabilities upfront of the projects to allow the best Quality, Cost and Efficiency
General responsibilities –
- Respect & contribute actively to the SHE procedures (Safety, Health, Environment)
- Promote ideas for continuous improvement
- Interact on-time, with transparency & commitment with colleagues & managers
- Maintain respectful and polite relationship with all contacts
- Timely completion of Final & Inward Inspection as per deadlines
- Effective Root Cause Analysis & Implementation of Corrective and Preventive Action mechanism (with reduction in rejection trend Internal & Customer Complaints)
Experience / Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with about 10 years of Experience or Diploma Mechanical with 15 years of Experience
- Technical knowledge on Machining, Process engineering, Quality system…
- Able to read a technical drawing with tolerances & specifications
- Use of IT tools like ERP, MS-Excel, Word, and PowerPoint…
