General Objective:
Management position with emphasis placed upon the planning, coordination, implementation and follow up of tasks that support all efforts of the Quality Department. Quality Managers are responsible for monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality, and engaging with customers and gathering product feedback, among other duties (AIAG Core Tools, CQIs, ISO-TS 16949/IATF 16949).
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field
- Proficient in English (Advanced)
- 5-10 minimum years of related experience in the Automotive Industry as Quality Manager (Wiring/Cable areas) in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- High headcount management (at least 1,000 employees between Inspectors, Engineers, Supervisors, etc.).
- Experience with Automotive Industry Quality Standards (AIAG Core Tools, CQIs, ISO-TS 16949/IATF 16949).
- Knowledge and implementation of Core Tools, PFMEA, CPLAN, 8D’s, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 5whys.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
- Experience in Quality Systems Development
- Knowledge of Problem-solving tool such as SPS, REDX.
- Blueprints interpretation and engineering specifications.
- High level skills with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Microsoft TEAMS
- Availability to relocate to Guaymas/Empalme, Son.
Responsabilities:
- Lead quality and plant team to achieve aggressive plant quality goals such as PPM and cost of poor quality.
- Responsible for all aspects of quality at manufacturing plants.
- Establish and/or implement departmental/corporate policies, goals, objectives and procedures.
- Daily monitoring of customer complaints.
- Tracking and managing of customer complaints through closure.
- Lead, manage, and motivate employees engaged in quality activities.
- Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop, manage and change quality control systems as needs dictate to deliver performance results.
- Develop and manage internal and external quality performance data.
- Understands and directs employees on PPAP submission process.
- Plant lead for ISO/TS 16949 certification.
- Quick and efficient containment of quality spills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with customers.
- Prepare and report out on quality metrics to plant and corporate staff.
- Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational department
