Sales & Business Development (Blown Film Machinery) - Remote Working

A reputed, 27 Years old organization in the plastic processing machinery industry, specializing in advanced blown film extrusion lines, IBC (Internal Bubble Cooling) systems, thickness control systems, gravimetric dosing, and multi-layer co-extrusion technologies. The company serves leading film manufacturers, converters, and packaging companies with high-performance and customized extrusion solutions.
Role Overview
This role focuses on driving revenue growth through consultative and technical sales of blown film extrusion lines and allied equipment. The incumbent will manage the complete sales lifecycle—from lead generation, requirement analysis, techno-commercial discussions, to order closure. The role requires strong understanding of polymer processing (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, multilayer films), extrusion parameters, and customer applications such as barrier films, stretch films, and flexible packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for blown film lines and auxiliary equipment
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across film manufacturers, converters, and flexible packaging companies
• Handle complete sales cycle including inquiry handling, technical discussions, proposal submission, negotiation, and order finalization
• Understand customer requirements such as output (kg/hr), micron range, layer configuration (mono/multilayer), and material specifications
• Recommend suitable machine configurations including die size, screw diameter, L/D ratio, air ring type, IBC systems, and automation levels • Coordinate with design and engineering teams for customized solutions and technical feasibility
• Present machine performance metrics such as output efficiency, energy consumption, gauge control, and ROI calculations
• Manage key accounts, ensure repeat business, and upsell additional equipment such as air rings, gravimetric blenders, and upgrades
• Track competitor technologies, pricing benchmarks, and industry trends such as downgauging and high-barrier film demand
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and detailed cost sheets
• Follow up on payments, manage receivables, and ensure timely collections
• Coordinate with production, dispatch, installation, and commissioning teams
• Support factory trials (FAT), machine inspections, and customer visits
• Travel extensively for client meetings, plant visits, and exhibitions
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in capital equipment sales, plastic extrusion machinery, or related industrial products. Strong understanding of extrusion processes, film applications, and consultative selling approach. Ability to engage with plant heads, production teams, and business owners.
