About the position:
- The Regional Product Manager ecommerce is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with customers and prospects by exploring opportunities focused on ecommerce last mile retail logistics business to large B2C & B2B ecommerce companies, D2C brands, Social Media sellers, large brands selling through their own website and Market place sellers.
- Be responsible for leading growth and managing senior business relationships for the ecommerce business vertical of the compoany in the assigned region.
- The role will involve strategic planning to grow and manage the top line of ecommerce business in the assigned territory by Individual contribution as well as by driving the business with help of channel and direct sales teams, consulting with key enterprise clients and solving a diverse set of problem statements around logistics, championing customer delight.
Responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day diligent “hunting” mentality approach to prospecting and new business lead generation, with expectation of an active pipeline in excess of $ 500 Million.
- Retain and grow existing customer base; create strategic plan to achieve sales goals
- Develop competitive solutions and proposals resulting in new business
- Partner and collaborate channel sales teams & direct sales teams to enhance selling techniques and bring innovation to new business opportunities for ecommerce business by training, coaching and mentoring them.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers, communicating on a regular basis (including customer business reviews)
- Review and closely monitor account performance and profitability
- Communicate issues and concerns with operations and senior management when required
- Participate in rate schedule development and contracts for both new and existing business
- Complete key administrative tasks including CRM (Salesforce), managing appropriate pipeline and updating key customer information.
- Anticipate within first 6 to 12 months of hire to execute in excess of 250 Million annualized new business.
- Ability and availability to travel as business needs dictate
- Shape the product development for relevant business lines by gathering and documenting requirements/ insights from clients
- Develop market intelligence to identify sectors / geography with potential business and have
- Deep understanding of competition
- Manage financial hygiene by enforcing strong processes around invoicing and collections with existing customers and track ageing of the same
