Hiring for a Sales Head- Government and Public Sector vertical, for a fast-growing No-Code Workflow Automation SaaS / PaaS platform start-up.

Our client is a global No-Code Automation SaaS / PaaS platform start-up, headquartered in India. Their user-defined secure, scalable and performant application development platform empowers business users to automate enterprise-grade processes and workflows, using simple drag and drop design, ten times faster than with traditional application development. This enhances efficiency, transparency, and productivity of their clients’ business operations. This platform comprises an integrated cloud database, a visual application builder, enterprise-grade security, regulatory compliance, and scalable global infrastructure. Within 2.5 years of operations, they have added 75+ clients in 15 countries, across various domains and have been featured in peak matrices of various Analysts, in addition to getting rewarded, recognized and certified by various prestigious companies / forums. As part of their rapid growth and expansion, they are now looking for a Sales Leader for their Government and PSU (Public Sector) vertical, which is a key focus area for the business.
Role details:
- Title / Designation: Regional Sales Head (Northern India) – Government and PSU
- Reporting Manager: VP and Head of Sales
- Role type: Both IC (individual contributor) and lead (of 3-4 Sales / Account Managers)
- Location: New Delhi
Role & responsibilities:
- Own revenue targets and set suitable sales & operational strategy for North India Government Sales, covering State Governments, PSUs and other Government departments (Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Utter Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh)
- Coordinate with top officials on IT projects; building and establishing the company’s credentials in this vertical, working with Consultants & Strategic Partners (Systems Integrators)
- Assessing and solutioning for technical and commercial risks, while formulating responses to RFPs / RFIs, getting internal approvals, where required
- Contributing to outbound sales pursuits, as required
- Hiring, mentoring and leading a team of 3 - 4 Sales / Account managers.
- Travelling on business, as required
Candidate requirements:
- 12-15 years in Government and Public Sector sales, with Account management experience.
- At least 4-5 years- experience of managing Sales / Account managers.
- Strong network with the Big 4 Consultants, Systems Integrators and with North Indian State Governments and PSUs
- Proven record of tracking Government and PSU budget allocations and their scope, to scout for business
- Ability to solution AND sell
- Background of selling OEM or Systems Integration solutions – strongly preferred
- Strong communication and relationship building capabilities.
- Sales target achievement of INR 40 to 50 crores, for the past few years – highly preferable
- Ability and willingness to travel on business, for about 40% to 50% of the time
- Demonstrable record of outbound sales – strongly preferred
- History of having been an IC salesperson for long and managing a sales team in the recent 3-4 years – highly preferred
