About the Opportunity
A well-established international banking institution is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Manager to join its Finance function in London.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically strong regulatory reporting professional to lead prudential reporting activities, support regulatory engagement, and drive strategic regulatory documentation across a regulated banking environment.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate regulatory submissions while supporting the institution’s broader governance, risk, and finance transformation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Prudential & Regulatory Reporting
- Lead the preparation and submission of all regulatory returns to relevant UK regulatory authorities on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis.
- Manage key prudential reporting obligations including capital, liquidity, and exposure reporting.
- Support the delivery and maintenance of strategic regulatory documents including:
- ICAAP
- ILAAP
- Recovery & Wind-Down Plans
- Stress Testing Frameworks
- Solvent Exit Analysis
- Serve as a key liaison point for regulators and internal stakeholders.
Governance & Regulatory Advisory
- Maintain robust regulatory reporting policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Provide technical guidance to senior management and governance committees on prudential and regulatory matters.
- Ensure compliance with governance and risk management standards across reporting activities.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
- Review and enhance reporting processes, controls, and systems.
- Support automation and finance transformation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance teams on capital, liquidity, and stress-testing matters.
Skills & Experience Required
Technical Expertise
Strong working knowledge and experience in:
- UK prudential regulatory reporting frameworks
- CRR/CRD reporting requirements
- PRA and FCA regulations
- ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Planning and related prudential documentation
- IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Regulatory reporting systems and data mapping processes
- Financial planning, forecasting, and analysis within banking environments
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within regulatory reporting in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of UK regulatory reporting obligations.
- Experience engaging with regulators and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree educated or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
Desirable
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Key Performance Indicators
- Timely and accurate delivery of all prudential and regulatory reports.
- Zero material reporting breaches, errors, or regulatory infractions.
- Effective delivery of ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing, and recovery planning documentation.
- Continuous improvement of reporting processes and controls.
- Successful implementation of finance transformation and automation initiatives.
- Delivery of high-quality regulatory and market intelligence to support decision-making.
