Job Purpose:
A dynamic financial institution committed to excellence is seeking an experienced Correspondent Banking Relationship Manager to join the team and contribute to its growing success.
Responsibilities:
Correspondent Banking Relationship Management:
- Manage and cultivate relationships with correspondent banks and financial institutions.
- Ensure efficient communication and collaboration to meet mutual business objectives.
Client Acquisition and Retention:
- Identify, pursue, and acquire new correspondent banking relationships.
- Strategically retain and expand existing relationships through excellent service delivery.
Language Proficiency:
- Utilize proficiency in English and French to enhance communication with international clients.
- Facilitate effective cross-border transactions and negotiations.
Emerging Markets Expertise:
- Leverage experience in emerging markets to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes affecting correspondent banking.
Risk Management:
- Evaluate and manage risks associated with correspondent banking relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of correspondent banking services.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive reports on correspondent banking activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for client files.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in FI/Correspondent Banking Relationship Management.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in French is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of emerging markets and international financial systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
