Responsibilities:
Project Development:
- Identify potential opportunities for solar, wind, and energy storage projects that align with our strategic objectives and renewable energy portfolio.
- Conduct thorough site assessments, feasibility studies, and due diligence for prospective project locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and environmental departments, to assess permitting requisites, land acquisition, and regulatory compliance.
- Foster robust relationships with key stakeholders such as landowners, governmental representatives, community members, and industry partners.
Engineering Design and Planning:
- Lead the engineering design process for solar, wind, and energy storage projects, emphasizing the incorporation of cutting-edge technology and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to optimize the design, performance, and efficiency of renewable energy systems.
- Review and endorse technical drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure alignment with pertinent codes and standards.
Project Management:
- Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure seamless project execution within defined parameters.
- Supervise the procurement of requisite equipment and services for project implementation, involving negotiation of contracts with suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor project progression, anticipate potential risks and hurdles, and implement strategies for risk mitigation to maintain project alignment.
- Guarantee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership:
- Offer effective leadership and mentorship to the project development and engineering teams, cultivating a collaborative and innovative work milieu.
- Conduct performance evaluations, define goals, and provide regular feedback to team members, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with HR to identify talent requirements and participate in the recruitment and onboarding processes.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Develop comprehensive project reports, status updates, and presentations catering to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Sustain accurate project documentation, encompassing contracts, permits, technical data, and other pertinent records.
Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A Master's degree is deemed advantageous.
- Showcase a proven track record of successfully developing and overseeing renewable energy projects, particularly focusing on solar, wind, and storage technologies.
- Exhibit robust technical expertise in renewable energy systems encompassing design, construction, and operation.
- Demonstrate a history of project management proficiency and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.
- Display familiarity with pertinent regulations, permitting procedures, and environmental considerations prevalent in the renewable energy sector.
- Possess leadership experience, underpinned by the capability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Showcase strong problem-solving abilities and the adaptability to navigate evolving circumstances.
