Our Client, a prestigious global multinational company specializing in construction chemical products, is looking to hire a motivated and career driven- Research & Development Manager, Tabuk-KSA.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Is responsible for the overall organization and management of research and development and specifically oversees R&D projects for the admixture product line with the support of the Group Leaders.
- Defines the structure and the objectives of the laboratories, coordinating the activities and ensuring the improvement and the updating of the operative standards.
- Makes sure that the timing, costs and the legislation are respected for the different R&D projects.
- Oversees and participates in the selection of strategic suppliers and partners for the qualification of the key raw materials and R&D services.
- Manages and coordinates all the activities related to the technical training and professional qualification of the resources related to R&D projects.
- Guarantees the proper use of the technologies and the suitable equipment for the laboratories, strictly cooperating with the Corporate R&D department and in compliance with the approved budget.
- Strictly collaborates with Product Management, Marketing, Technical Services, Engineering and Product Safety departments and all the other functions involved in the R&D projects and processes.
- Maintains contacts with other research centers and organization, with the purpose of developing the company scientific know-how.
- Monitors external test reports and test certificates from external research and testing institutes.
- Works with the sales team to develop products in order to satisfy the market needs in relation with the commercial strategy.
- Works in close cooperation with Corporate Environmental Sustainability department to supervise the environmental sustainability projects ensuring the proper draft of environmental documentation and granting the application of sustainability and environment regulations.
- Manages, supervises and develops the R&D team under his/her responsibility and is involved in recruitment and performance management processes in collaboration with the local HR and with the Corporate R&D department Lead and supervise the QC team, providing training and guidance as needed.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- BSs in civil engineering or chemistry.
- Min 10 years in admixture or Ready-mix concrete industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong negotiations skills
- MS office.
- Safety experience.
- RM concrete technical skills.
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Arabic
