We are looking for a Research Manager - Chemical Industry (full remote) to be part of our client's team in Romania.
This position is part of the research division in Romania and is part of a multicultural support and dynamic team, which offers direct support to clients from different industries, mainly from America and Europe.

In corporate research, clients engage with us in the following essential tasks and responsibilities:
• Development of in-depth expertise in specialized research tools and techniques, databases and sources; should focus on developing innovative approaches in estimating market segment and size, supplier market share, customer market share, technology analysis, etc. in the petrochemical / specialty markets and subsequently write reports on research that meets the needs of customers
• Bring to the industry an understanding of the petrochemical and specialty chemicals sector, which would include products, customer segments, competitive forces and industry-shaping trends
• Work in the value chain in various sectors such as automotive, packaging, construction, pharmaceuticals and agriculture and have a strong business acumen
• Understanding macroeconomic indicators and their involvement in supply / demand scenarios and prices
• Identify and recommend potential strategic markets and solution areas by cross-reporting available and secondary data, along with prior knowledge of end-use industry suppliers / formulators / manufacturers and business processes
• Analyze the financial results of companies and understand analysts' reports to get key information about a company's performance
• Create financial reports of companies after analyzing their performance from annual / quarterly files, company reports and presentations, transcripts, analyst reports, etc.
• Evaluate the financial performance of companies using various rates and parameters, chosen according to their relevance by industry or industry segment of interest
• Take a proactive role in the customer quality control process and train and mentor more junior staff
• Carrying out and initiating various training activities, allied with the team and the group
Skils:
- Seasoned research professional with a strong focus on the petrochemicals industry
- Updated with current events in the industry and ability to identify key trends shaping the industry
- Knowledge of major customer segments, common products, and product types
- Knowledge of major players in the industry and competitive landscape
- Understanding of industry standard processes and methodologies
- Understanding of the industry regulatory environment
- Highly adept at understanding business issues and translating them into research priorities
- Financial knowledge – analyzing financial statements and key ratios
- Ability to ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner
- Effective communicator with excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

Competences:
- Should have worked for 2–7 years with a reputed firm in Chemical Research and Analysis
- Good knowledge of databases and latest MS Office tools
- Graduate/Post-graduate in chemical engineering/chemistry/polymer technology
