1. General description :
Within the Purchasing Department and reporting to the Global Purchasing Technical Support Manager,
you act as technical support to our existing and future European strategic raw material suppliers.
2. Keys Responsibilities:
- Create, build, and develop strong technical partnerships with existing and future European strategic suppliers of Turpentine, Tall Oil and strategic raw materials, by performing technical collaborations through appropriate LEAN methodologies implementation.
- Develop strong technical expertise and understanding of these sourcing industries capabilities and resulting opportunities.
- Manage and prioritize the technical projects with these European strategic suppliers, and associated budget.
- Perform technical-economic studies for European projects of new possible sourcing of Turpentine, Tall Oil and strategic raw materials.
- Develop strategic networks with business and technical expert centers to assist and create value in your mission.
- Leads, supports and/or coordinates projects with internal departments on specific topics, and build strong relationship with internal stakeholders QCQA, HSE, R&D, PROCESS, PRODUCTION, REGULATION, S&OP.
- Participate to the management of the quality claims, supplier performance evaluation and possibly audits of strategic suppliers.
- Risk management / criticist analysis on raw materials.
- Contribute to Market Intelligence reporting.
3. Qualification and Skills :
- Master/Engineer degree in process chemicals engineering,
- Knowledge of organic and analytical chemistry will be appreciated.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as process - production engineer in softwood kraft pulping industry will be a plus.
- Analytical, strategic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication & influencing skills.
- Self-starter, independent and able to work in a global team environment.
- Ability to work effectively and successfully in countries and cultures with significantly different customs and rules as compared to the home country.
- Willingness to travel and spend up to 50% of your time outside.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
