Key Account Manager (Bovine)
The role:
While a trusted distributor maintains a certain market presence, there is a need to serve innovative cattle breeders as key accounts in Hungary. This role is responsible for growing sales and developing long term relationships with partner customers.
The Key Account Manager promotes and sells a portfolio of innovative technologies to create genetically superior animals for progressive farmers reporting directly to Headquarter. This role informs customers of new product/service introductions and prices, and creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
Main tasks:
- Utilise your expert skills and knowledge (of products, industry, customer business) to build relationships and offer relevant solutions to large progressive farms to maximise their profit potential;
- Be an expert prospector with the ability to quickly identify opportunities to add value, develop new customer relationships and drive long term business gain;
- Assist other sales colleagues in large accounts by dual calling, helping to build action plans and develop tools to be used on farm;
- Help drive business strategy amongst the Key Account segments within territory;
- Utilise the services of colleagues in the Genetic Services and Technical Services team to maximise sales potential and demonstrate value to the customer;
- Identify, report and work with your line manager to respond to any competitor activity as appropriate;
- Develop strong networking relationships to keep abreast of customer/industry changes, maximise sales opportunities and engage with external talent who have the potential to add value in our business;
- Maintain a high level of customer service within the area, by presenting a professional image;
- Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably requested by your line manager/a member of the Senior Management team.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree and 5 years minimum sales experience in relevant field (i.e. animal science,
- agri-business, etc.);
- Significant sales experience within the dairy & beef industry;
- Detailed knowledge of large-scaly dairy operations;
- Keen knowledge of genetics and genetic progress, with experience in showing customers how they can profit from genetic progress;
- In depth knowledge of the financial mechanics of dairy farming and ability to understand farm financials and discuss them in depth with customers;
- Ability to develop long term relationships with customers;
- Fluent English, native Hungarian;
- Ability to work on own initiatives, respond to changing demands quickly;
- Personal resilience to work in and respond to a customer environment with volatile market conditions;
- Experience in developing sales plans, comfortable speaking profit & loss and development sales
- forecasts;
- Driver’s License required.
