Now we are hiring for one of our clients this position, our client is an international leading chemical distributor. The Group is present in all major countries, 37 offices of the European Union, as well as in US, Turkey, South Africa, Brazil and China with on-going strategic development in Eastern European countries and the United Sates.
Position: Sales Engineer, sells chemical raw materials to application sector of Life sciences, personal/Home care.
The overall objective of the role is to grow both the turnover and profitability of Life sciences product portfolio/market as a priority in Belgium and Luxembourg.
This position reports to BU Manager Life Sciences Benelux
Permanent contract, full time, location: Londerzeel – Belgium – HQ office (Or Home Office)
Mission – Keys responsibilities:
- Product Portfolio Management: Evaluate, define, and position the product portfolio according to market requirements.
- Market Introduction: Assist in ensuring the sales and commercial introduction of products to the targeted marketplace, including searching for opportunities and maintaining and expanding contacts in the industry.
- Quoting and Negotiation: Support quoting and negotiating with customers.
- Project Pipeline Implementation: Help implement pipelines for new projects.
- Supplier Communication: Maintain operational contacts with a selected group of suppliers and communicate relevant information to the sales team.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly follow up on turnover and margins according to budget and objectives.
- Promotional Activities: Participate in promotion, marketing actions, and communication efforts, including trade fairs and associations.
Qualification et Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in life Sciences/Chemistry
- Junior with 1-3 years Sales experience in the field of Personal and Home Care - Experience in a cosmetic lab for example would be great.
- Wants to grow in a sales position and is eager to learn and to develop into a senior Account / Product Manager position targeting on sales.
- Has a good feeling for sales and for creating opportunities.
- Dutch speaker, speaks English and preferably also French
- Lives in Belgium (must) - Candidate is expected to travel some 70% of his/her time to customers.
